This position serves a resource to new members and, indeed, maintains personal contact through the early months of membership. The purpose is to gage the level of comfort the new member feels with the organization and address issues noted. Do they feel welcome? Do they understand how the branch functions? Do they understand the many opportunities to get involved in Branch 146 activities?
This position is not intended to substitute for the new member’s sponsor but to supplement the sponsor’s efforts to help integrate the member into the organization.
